About Us
TheHealthyProstate.com is a project of The Mechanics of Men, LLC, owned and operated by sex educators Christine Fawley and Charlotte Goodman-Smith. The Mechanics of Men, LLC strives to offer clear, concise and pleasurable online sex education. Our educational websites offer stunning visuals, hands-on guidance and practical strategies to motivate our members to more fully enjoy the potential of human sexuality.
Charlotte Goodman-Smith grew up in Hong Kong and England. She moved to the United States to attend Wesleyan University where she graduated with a B.A. in Sociology. Since then she has worked extensively in the social service field with at-risk children, the disabled and elderly. Looking for another way to be of service in creating a healthy culture for all people, Charlotte became a massage therapist. With a belief that healthy bodies need healthy sex lives, she attended the California-approved certification in Sexological Bodywork at the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in 2006 and was on the teaching faculty in 2007. She believes firmly in the preventative health benefits of receiving high quality touch. In addition to online education, Charlotte offers classes for individuals and couples to expand their erotic touch skills. Charlotte is often found reveling in the hills and redwood forests of Nothern California.
Christine Fawley grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At Vassar College, she led the campus in becoming what Annie Sprinkle has proclaimed "the most sex-positive campus in the country." After graduating cum laude with a degree in Sociology, Christine moved to San Francisco and joined it's vibrant community of sex educators. Working with Joseph Kramer, Ph.D. at www.eroticmassage.com, Christine directed two best-selling sex education DVDs. Meanwhile, she was trained in professional massage and was among the first to earn California-approved certification in Sexological Bodywork. Christine's central commitment is to making excellent sex education resources available online so that all may benefit from the gifts of human sexuality. When not teaching sex, Christine loves growing vegetables in her garden and cooking feasts for family and friends.
